Meet Brady at
E-World 2022

As an energy trader, Chris was present at two market openings before heading up EDF Energy’s Trading and Operations capabilities between 2009 and 2017. As Vice Chair of the Power Trading Committee and Chair of Energy UK’s Wholesale Markets subcommittee, Chris helped create the current Energy market we have today, making changes to the energy trading products, negotiating the mandatory market making rules and making changes to allow customer’s assets to be re-optimised closer to real-time.

In 2017 Chris delivered a distributed trading capability (Powershift) into EDF, allowing customers to access markets alongside EDF’s own fleet of power stations and batteries. EDF’s Powershift is now a leading player in the UK flexibility market, optimising batteries, engines and DSR on behalf of EDF’s customers and is part of the international group’s flexibility offerings.

Chris has a background in Physics and complements this with an MBA from INSEAD.

The Founder of Igloo Cloud ETRM, Tim has worked in commodities since 1999, leading global teams at investment banks, trading houses and energy companies.

Tim has built out systems for front and back office and has an excellent record of delivering commodities technology.

Tim has in-depth knowledge of CTRM and ETRM systems, having implemented these at Mercuria, Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers.

Ali Celik has a wealth of experience in helping energy and commodities trading market participants address credit and liquidity risk management.

During his career that spans more than two decades, Ali has implemented credit risk software and advised on best practice processes for renowned multi-national utilities and trading firms including Vattenfall, Orsted, Equinor, E.on and Trafigura.

Ali started his career in the financial services and banking sector implementing front-to-back systems.

Dmitrii leads development of the advanced analytics module of Brady’s SaaS product for short-term energy traders – PowerDesk Edge. Dmitrii has over 5 years of energy industry experience. Before Brady, Dmitrii worked at EDF Energy (the largest energy company in the UK) as a trader on the curve trading desk where he managed long-term power and carbon hedging for both consumption and generation arms of EDF. Before that, he was a senior data scientist in the volume forecasting team.

Dmitrii was a finalist for the Young Energy Professional of the Year award 2021.
