And so it was Christmas. It seems 2019 has gone incredibly fast and it has certainly been a journey for everyone at Brady this year. The hard work of our teams across our global offices has ensured a positive end to the year with the addition of some great new customers. We are determined to be customer-value focused in everything we do here at Brady and bringing on board new customers has been a massive team effort involving many parts of the business from sales & marketing, product management, services, engineering through to legal, finance and HR.

The other big news to end the year is the ink drying on the acquisition of Brady by Hanover Acquisition Limited. This is exciting news for us as a business as we move to become a privately held business on 6th January 2020. The founding partner of Hanover, Matthew Peacock mentioned recently that this will help “drive growth and deliver best in class products and services”. We’re excited for this new chapter in Brady’s history and for what 2020 will hold as we invest further in our products.

Topping off this year were the many Christmas celebrations across our global offices. Being a global company means celebrating Christmas in a variety of ways. Cambridge had their Christmas dinner at Browns Restaurant that is situated in the heart of Cambridge in a former wing of the old Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Like the London office, who celebrated at Jamie’s Wine Bar, the traditional Christmas turkey roast was the most popular option, although there was some controversy when many people opted for the chocolate fondant rather than the Christmas pudding! The London team also had a good laugh while competing in the Christmas quiz, prepared by our talented Account Manager, Dany Grade.

Edinburgh’s Christmas party was set in the idyllic Gardener’s Cottage, where a real record player filled the air with uplifting tunes. They were treated to some delicious food including Jerusalem artichoke, beef ribeye, monk fish, pear frangipane and a selection of cheeses. To finish things off there was the annual exchange of Secret Santa gifts.

The Bergen team may top the list for the most interesting Christmas menu. Dining at To Kokker, the team were treated to a five-course meal featuring Carpaccio of Elk for the entrée and the main being a fillet of red deer! Meanwhile, our Halden and Oslo teams combined to have a superb dinner at the Michelin star restaurant, Restaurant Curtisen, located within the walls of the historic Fredriksten fortress in Halden.

Our team in Bangalore were treated to beautiful night time skyline views across the city as they dined on the 13th floor of the Barton Centre at the restaurant Ebony. They kicked things off with a Maharaja Platter, loaded with a variety of chicken and fish dishes along with Akasaka Prawns. Their main consisted of Roti, Naan and Biryani and the occasional mocktail and cocktail!

We have two offices in Switzerland, one in Zug and one in Geneva. Zug will be celebrating their Christmas in January, but we’re told that the plans are top secret! Geneva celebrated in a way that they do best – with decadent French cuisine and wine at what has become a favourite local restaurant, 2 Potes O’feu. Their three-course meal included Foie gras poêlé garniture Grand-mère, Noisette de filet de boeuf au sautoir and Feuillantine au praliné et crémeux au chocolat.

We hope you have enjoyed the overview of how our offices celebrated Christmas. That’s a wrap from us for this year and we wish you a very, merry Christmas!
